Name of Strain: Warlock

Genetics/Lineage: This is a Hybrid plant which means that it is half Indica half Sativa; 50/50. Indica being your night time/relaxing kind of medicine, whereas Sativa is a more active functioning medicine that can be much less sedating. This is a perfect genetic combo of Afghani x Skunk#1. THC content 20%+.

Breeder: Urban Dispensary, Denver CO.

Appearance to the Naked Eye: Lime green with perfectly symmetrical calyxes woven in an upward spiral like pattern, throughout the specimen itself, all the way to the tip. Crystal structure plays a dominant role in the presentation of this strain. The trichomes are amber in color and seem to be much longer than the average which is perfect for optimum percentage of THC. The trichomes are so abundant that even with the naked eye it is a marvel. The calyxes seem to have formed an over abundance of these trichomes in large patches as they themselves almost spiral upward as well.

Appearance Under 100x Microscope: The surface of this beautiful bud is almost completely covered in trichomes that seem to surround the bud almost taking it hostage. The THC crystals are so abundant it makes it difficult, in conjunction with the trichomes, to view the actual surface of the sample. Trichomes are all a nice light tan to amber in color with none that seem to be diminishing at all! This was grown with love and attentiveness.

Aroma: When opening it's container I could smell a hint of sweet berries. When a piece of the sample is slightly crushed and opened I could definitely smell the thick, pungent, musky smell of the afghan counterpart which seemed to be somewhat spicy, tingling the nose as I inhaled the smell of the flower.

Taste on Inhalation: The fresh taste of a skunky forest enters the mouth. The smoke is clear and smooth, tickling the tip of the tongue with a hint of sweetness.

Taste on Exhalation: A lovely taste of fruit and cream hit the pallet of the mouth on the exhale. It still has that undertone of berries.

Effects: After one dose you immediately feel a rush through the sinuses into the back of the head as it then travels down the spine; extending to the muscles. This is a great description of what a "hybrid" flower does. The sativa part hits you with the more cerebral benefits as discussed earlier with it being a more "daytime" functioning medicine. Then, the indica's effects hit the muscles providing a natural relaxant/stress reliever. Several doses in, feels more sedative but the user is still able to function properly without delayed range of motion which is an amazing combo and it is to me what the hybrid was created for...the best of both worlds. This leaves you feeling creative or ready to watch a movie.

Duration: It's duration is about 2 1/2 hours of the cerebral feeling and the body high seems to last a bit longer; around 3 hours.

Medicinal Traits: It can ease stress, and may help relieve behavioral problems  like attention deficit / hyperactive disorder and depression probably because it has a clear functioning process with a side effect that seems to assist in focus/concentration. Personally, I would say that because of it's soothing muscular effects that it is also good for spasms, back/joint pain, terminal illness such as cancer, ms, and other deteriorative muscular conditions.

Overall: With it's 20%+ THC rating for this strain, it provides a relaxing feeling while still maintaining it's clear, "focused" medicinal traits. This medicine is holistically compatible for a wide range of chronic pain issues/illnesses, muscular diseases, terminal illnesses, behavioral disorders, etc. It still has the innate ability to allow you to focus on the task at hand if need be or just to simply relax with a pain reliever that if administered properly, provides an almost instant relief. So, take care of your daily tasks while getting the benefit of nature's muscle relaxer combined with the right amount of pain relief found in Warlock.
